35mm| Newquay

Newquay, Cornwall; 22nd – 25th June 2017

Surfing… not as easy as it looks in Lilo and Stitch. Nevertheless, the insane @js_ano and I took a trip to the town of surf culture. With the help of Jordan’s extensive (and slightly obsessive) knowledge on the town and miles of exploring, we captured the coastal metropolis with a 35mm Nikon f60.

I have to admit, I’m usually a Canon girl, so using a Nikon completely unbalanced the rivalry of Canon vs Nikon. That said, I really enjoyed making images through traditional photography. Using film allowed me to focus on the image taken; whilst digital is usually the go-to for travel photography, film allowed me to appreciate what was in front of the lens – rather than snapping whatever, wherever.

Here you have it, 35mm| Newquay.
